New Beer from “This is Ukraine” Series

SikorSKY is purposely sour beer J. When it was brewed, we used a method of dry hopping that gives beer more distinct flavour. Beer has got a persimmon taste. We added 100 litres of persimmon puree into beer, thus it formed clear aftertaste.

“This is Ukraine” Series represents craft beers made in “Pravda” Beer Theatre, labels of which read about famous Ukrainians. This series also includes “Malevich is Ukraine” and “Andy Warhol is Ukraine”. From now on you can buy our third beer – “SikorSKY is Ukraine.”

Sikorsky was born and got education in Kyiv. Later on he immigrated to the USA where he founded his own corporation Sikorsky Aircraft that is producing aircrafts till today. When Sikorsky was only 19, he began to construct real planes. When he turned 20, a student of Kyiv Polytechnic University worked out and manufactured his first helicopter.

His large airliner Ilya Muromets (1913) made a world record in cargo capacity.  Sikorsky also constructed the first amphibious aircraft in the USA.

His helicopters S of 1941 were used in fighting by the United States Armed Forces.

Sikorsky created 15 aircrafts in the USA and he is well-known in the world as “the father of helicopters”.
